Planning a lesson or an activity
The purpose of this grid is to make instructors aware of the different elements involved in the preparation of a lesson or an activity. They are invited to list their objectives, define the linguistic skills they aim to develop, describe the materials they will use, determine what the students should know before starting the activity, estimate how much time each stage of the lesson or activity will take, imagine follow-up activities, and anticipate possible difficulties.
