The FLTA orientation at Penn always includes a shock class on the first day where the participants are taught a short lesson in a language that presumably most have had no prior exposure (Thai, Modern Gree, Ukrainien, etc). At the end of the lesson the participants jot down notes on this questionnaire as a basis for the discussion.
